"We want to be part of the resurgence occurring downtown"
Reported by Al Harris in the January 17th, 2011 edition of Richmond BizSense, one of Rchmond's oldest skyscrapers is about to get the apartment-conversion treatment. Local development firm Hunt Investments LLC and the Virginia Beach-based Armada Hoffler together purchased the building at 700 E Franklin Street for $7.2 million. The historic building is planned to be converted into 115 units of studios and one- and two- bedroom apartments. Tony Nero, president of Armada Hoffler said his firm hopes to pursue more projects in the Richmond area.
